Photographic Exhibition
Foundation Nepal is running a photographic exhibition about the Nepali Himalayas during November 2010 to raise awareness about Nepal. If you have any photos you’d like to contribute, please send them to us. And, make sure to visit the exhibition!
The exhibition is taking place during the month of November in Dublin city centre at the Irish Aid Volunteering & Information Centre on 27-31 Upper O’Connell Street and is easily accessed by bus, Luas, Train and Dart services. Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 10am–5pm, Thursday: 10am-8pm, Saturday: 10am-3pm. Free admission.
Call for photographs
We’re currently seeking photographs of the Nepali Himalayas (landscapes or people) for the exhibition, so if you have any suitable images please submit them by 24 September to Amber at amber.walsh@foundation-nepal.org, along with a short caption outlining the location, date and a description of what’s happening in the picture. Photos and captions can also be posted on a CD-ROM to Foundation Nepal, 3 New Road, Galway.
If you know anyone who has been to Nepal, please spread the word that we’re on the lookout for relevant photographs.
Photographs should be submitted as JPEGs, maximum four per person. As the photos will be enlarged to maximum A1 size, images need to be a minimum of 1MB, preferably larger. A total of 23-30 images will be exhibited and these will be chosen by a team of Foundation Nepal staff and a photographer. A selection of submitted photographs will also be displayed on Foundation Nepal’s website.
We will officially launch the exhibition on Thursday, 4 November at 6:30 pm and all are very welcome to attend – put the date in your diary now!
By submitting photographs, you give permission to Foundation Nepal to display your images in this exhibition in late 2010 and on Foundation Nepal’s website.
