Creating a fundraising web page

Develop a personal fundraising web page using mycharity.ie and then email the link to friends and family, so that they can donate securely online. It’s easy to set up and takes the hassle out of keeping track of donations.

First, take a look at an example of a mycharity.ie fundraising web page
To create your own fundraising page, visit www.mycharity.ie
Click ‘Create a fundraising page’
Click ‘Create your page’
Enter ‘Foundation Nepal’ in the search box and click ‘Go’
At the end of Foundation Nepal’s profile page, click ‘Read more’
If you are fundraising as part of an event posted on Foundation Nepal’s profile then click ‘List of events’, find the event and click ‘Create your page. Otherwise, click ‘List of fundraisers’ on the left hand side menu, then click ‘Raise money for this charity’ and finally click ‘Create your page’
Select how many months you want to keep the page live for after the event has finished and then click ‘Continue’
Design your fundraising page by doing the following:

Enter the fundraising page web address you want to use (remember to put your name in it to distinguish it from other people’s pages)
Enter the fundraising page title (again, make sure people can clearly identify it as your page)
Upload an image (recommended to make your page look more colourful and engaging!)
Set the fundraising target
Customise the personal message
Select a colour scheme
Personalise the donation confirmation message

Click ‘Publish’
Email the web address of your new fundraising page to friends, family and colleagues and also let people know about it via Facebook and Twitter
