Volunteering options in Nepal
Right now, we’re looking for volunteers to help build our new Volunteer and Education Centre and assist with various projects once the Centre is up and running.
Build our Volunteer Centre in Nepal
We require skilled engineers/tradespeople and unskilled people to come to Nepal during September/October 2010 for 2 – 4 weeks to help build our Volunteer and Education Centre in Simikot, Humla.
To experience the culture first hand, there will be an option to stay with a Nepali family and learn about family life, as well as local traditions and skills.

Minimum age:
18 years
Cost:
2 weeks volunteering €3,500
3 weeks volunteering €3,750
4 weeks volunteering €4,000
Benefits:
Flights to and from Nepal, internal flights, insurance, accommodation, food, one day of training before departure and de-briefing on return. All volunteers are required to pay for their own visas and vaccinations.
Requirements:
Deposit to be paid well in advance of travel. Be medically and physically fit to work, be a good English speaker, available to travel in specific time periods.
Work at our Volunteer Centre in Nepal
We are looking for volunteers to help at our Volunteer Centre in Simikot, Humla from spring 2011 for 1 – 5 months. The work will involve teaching English to children and adults, and assisting with the permaculture garden.
Minimum age:
18 years
Cost:
€1,500 for 1 – 5 months
Benefits:
Internal flights, insurance, accommodation, food, one day of training before departure and de-briefing on return. Flights to and from Nepal are not included. All volunteers are required to pay for their own visas and vaccinations.
Requirements:
Be medically and physically fit to work, be a good English speaker.
